Description
Introducing Escalators and Stairs. This package features a collection of escalators and stairs in an assortment of heights and styles. Included in this package are two styles of escalators in seven different heights and five types of stairs in two styles and up to 10 different heights.
There are two styles of escalators which include ‘metal and glass’ which has the glass sides for a modern look and the traditional ‘all metal’ version. The escalators come in seven heights including 2M, 2.5M, 3M, 3.5M, 4M, 4.5M, and 5M. The escalators are also animated and have physics assets assigned to them allowing player characters to ride them. Blueprints are provided to make placing the escalators easy and to set the direction of travel including up, down, and stopped.
Five different types of stairs are included in this package. The types include Straight, Straight with 90 turn at the top, L-shaped, U-shaped, and U-shaped with 90 degree turn at top. The taller straight staircases have intermediate landings. All types of stairs came in two styles including a modern architectural wood style and an metal industrial style. The stairs have instanced materials which allow changing the type of wood on the architectural style and the amount of dirt and rust along with the color of the industrial style. The stairs come in seven heights including 2M, 2.5M, 3M, 3.5M, 4M, 4.5M, and 5M. The straight stairs have additional heights of 50CM, 1M, and 1.5M.

Texture Sizes: 2048×2048 and 1024 x1024
Collision: Escalator steps use physics assets. All static meshes use ‘complex as simple’ using the L1 LOD.
Vertex Count: Escalators are typically 8500 for L0, approx 2300 for L1 LOD. Stairs are typically 4700 for L0, 1400 for L1. (Actual count depends on selected height and type.)
LODs: All meshes have two LODs.
Number of Meshes: 104 static meshes, 7 skeletal meshes
Number of Materials and Material Instances: 43
Number of Textures: 18
Supported Platforms: Tested on Windows, but should work on all platforms.
Important/Additional Notes: It is recommended to have an IK setup for character feet placement for best look and feel.
