A quick and easy to use set of Blueprints that allow you set images as lights!
This is pretty useful to fake complex off-screen environments when showcasing assets, quickly build a specific mood, set-up projections, fake camera obscura effects and tons more.
The idea for this product came from an awesome blog post on lighting by the super talented Gleb Alexandrov which you can read HERE!
This pack offers two types of blueprint actors that work much like point and spot lights that can project an image or media texture on a surface area or a 360 scope.
Performance is overall pretty good, but please note that these are more performance heavy than traditional lights, as such careful use should be possible for game projects while animation focused projects should be able to heavily use these.
There are a few limitations however. First of all these actors best work as dynamic lights and as such are not suitable for light baking. Also while SSGI and ray-traced shadows look great, ray-traced GI and reflections will not look correct (the lights will not appear colored)
