Description
VIDEO PREVIEW: VIMEO
Space Platform Explorer contains skeletal meshes rigged to the Epic Skeleton for easy use in template projects. Simply open the ThirdPersonCharacter blueprint and change the Skeletal Mesh used in the Mesh (Inherited) component. Individual parts can be combined in the character blueprint as a single character to create custom variations such as backpack on/off, helmet option 1 or 2, or add a head of your own to the body. There are also complete meshes including all parts to quickly swap out the mesh in only a few clicks.
Any color may be selected for the armor by choosing the color of the swatch in the character material.
NOTE: If the character is floating off the ground slightly in your project, the solution may be to open the skeleton and change the Retargeting Options by first showing the retargeting options in the Skeleton Tree, and then changing all the bones from “Animation” to “Skeleton” except for the first two: “Root” and “Pelvis.” This might not be required, but it worked for me.
