Video Tutorial on Channel Separator/Reorderer Update
Notice to users on UE5.1: There’s a bug in UE5.1 causing a memory leak when using the Channel Separator. This bug is specific to UE5.1 and does not occur in the prior versions of the engine or in UE5.2.
January 5, 2023 – Update: I’ve got another update that includes batch processing for separating/reordering. Sorry for the delay. Please read the change list for further details and watch the new video above on how to work with the new update.
Texture Tools is a suite of 9 individual tools designed to give you the freedom to create, combine, alter, and resize textures, all from within Unreal Engine.
The 9 tools included in Texture Tools:
Channel Separator – Separate out textures from the selected channels of textures. Works in batch.
Channel Combiner – Create new textures by combining multiple textures into textures’ individual channels.
Channel Reorderer – Recombine the channels of textures in a different order to create new textures. Works in batch.
Size Reducer – Lower project storage size by permanently reducing textures’ max resolution. Works in batch.
Format Converter – Resample textures into different formats. Works in batch.
And 4 different Material Bakers – Create new textures in a variety of ways using your own custom materials. Please refer to the tutorial video for further explanation.
