Ultimate Camera System is an alternative to sequencer for creating cinematic gameplay mechanics and real-time dynamic cutscenes with an emphasis on quick iteration and speed. One of its main benefits over sequencer is that you can use it anywhere in the level, in any actor class, and even with gameplay.
You can check out some examples of how it can be used in both gameplay and cinematics inside a playable demo that has several real world use cases above. The example project is also provided so once you buy the plugin you can see how I made the demo with it.
This is being used in my own games such as Mall of Mayhem and BoltBreak 2.
